I am currently building a drift boat using Coosa board 40% lighter than marine plywood and stronger then laminating kevlar fabric on the bottom and carbon fiber on the sides.

must have been expensive build. beautiful though. Building my first real bench now, once business gets going and i have my shop ill be making something like Rob Cosman's, I like the shoulder vice. although I did incorporate the benchcrafted glide , leg vice in mine.

How much does it weigh, though? A guy I work with said he built DIY drawers out of wood and it ended up being too heavy for his truck. Granted, his was a smaller Nissan truck, but still.

I am looking to paint the front fiberglass cap on an Airstream. From the video the finish appears pretty smooth. Given good surface prep how close is a roller finish to spray painting it?

Doesn’t the spray wind up going everywhere that's not covered? Does it have to be a super calm day? Overspray is what worries me if I have to go back and try to remove it.

My school had some Oliver machines from the 1930’s. That old stuff was built to outlast the building that housed it.

$50hr is very fair rate, i charge $75hr for art. People need to understand that the difference between Any art craft people is based on the years n cost of training, education and experience. Is what guarantees the quality of the end product. most of my craft n art mentors drill this to their students. Its hilarious how many of my clients would rather hire some kid with no actual training in the task for dirt cheap n then come back to me to fix the mess the kid did. They end up paying 2x for what i would had charged them. I been tackling wood work by myself n love seeing pros doing master works. Great video sir.

Hello! Appreciate the video- Watched your vid step by step to know how to restore my own deck. Quick question, is that sprayer you used just a general sprayer, is it called a stain sprayer? I would like to spray mine instead of manually pain on, and I was unsure of how to find this sprayer as you did. Thanks for your help!

What PSI did you use when pressure washing? I've heard that it needs to be pretty low to avoid damaging the wood.

What kind of sand did you use for inside and out?

I love timber framing but the only way that i would have anything that is timber framed is if i built it. It's so much more expensive than dimensional lumber because of the labor involved.
